There are many gifts I have received throughout my life: toys, books, electronics, etc. But the most unique gift I have ever received is a hug.

At first thought you may think a hug isn't a gift or a hug isn't unique. But it's true, a hug is a gift because you must be given it. It is unique because you cannot be given the same hug twice.

The hug I received is extraordinary and it didn't happen too long ago. It was at school when I was hanging out with friends being silly. I don't remember why, but we were laughing so hard we had tears rolling down our faces. When we quieted down a tad my friend gave me a hug -- out of nowhere.

This specific hug was meaningful to me because it showed so much. It showed all the "c'mon's" and "reallys" we gave each other. It showed the looks only friends can give. It showed the laughter we've had and the craziness that showed up everyday. It also showed me the "Aww I love you's" and the caring that was there.

Most of all, it showed that I had a true friendship that I know I will never lose. I know I may sound unrealistic getting this from a minute hug, but this is the gift that is incomparable and that I hold close.
