Fish Finder

I enjoy going to the pier and fishing. My wife doesn't go with me but is happy if I bring home dinner. More often than not I don't catch anything, but I enjoy being by the ocean chatting with others and getting tips.

Sadly, it seems like fishing is bad for everyone! Though, no one is unwilling to give unsolicited advice.

One day my wife gave me a package. I opened it and was startled to see she bought me a radar fish finder.

All you need to do is hang it over the pier and it will announce when fish pass. I'd mentioned to her how much I'd like one, but, as we're trying to save money never thought we could afford it. She said that maybe it would help me catch fish and pay for itself in short order.

The next day I went to the pier and used it. It works perfectly! Yes, it does set off an alarm when the fish swim by. Everyone clamored around me to see it in action. But, though it expertly shows on its radar screen the fish...it is incapable of making them bite!
